Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the serene coastal charm of Bon Secour, Alabama, The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar stands as a premier destination for seafood enthusiasts and steak lovers alike. This oyster bar and steak house masterfully blends the freshest seafood with expertly prepared cuts of premium aged beef, creating a dining experience that is both indulgent and memorable.

The culinary offerings at Tin Top are a celebration of coastal flavors and southern hospitality. Begin your meal with warm, comforting bowls like the seafood gumbo, a rich medley of shrimp, crabmeat, and spicy andouille sausage, or the luxurious lobster bisque, cherished by locals for its creamy texture and depth of flavor. Salads such as the crisp Greek Salad offer a refreshing balance, adorned with tangy feta and house-made Greek dressing, while the West Indies Salad brings a delicate sweetness from lump crabmeat rested on a bed of fresh spinach.

Oyster lovers will find themselves in paradise here. Whether enjoying them raw on the half shell or savoring the rich, garlicky warmth of steamed oysters, every bite bursts with ocean freshness. Specialty preparations such as Oysters Margaret with house parmesan butter, the elegant Oysters Rockefeller baked with fresh spinach, or the indulgent Dirty Dozen topped with tasso ham cream sauce, showcase the kitchen’s creativity and respect for classic oyster traditions.

For steak aficionados, Tin Top’s menu is just as enticing. Featuring prime aged cuts like the robust Rib Eye and the tender, buttery 10 oz Butt Tender filet, every steak is grilled to perfection and accompanied by rich sauces such as the bleu cheese horseradish. The Tender Fenton tops the experience by uniting juicy beef with succulent oysters, a true surf-and-turf delight. For an adventurous touch, add the Steak Carlisle with blackened coco loco shrimp, elevating your entrée further.

The ambiance at The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar complements its culinary offerings beautifully. The waterfront location provides breathtaking vistas that enliven the senses, especially when dining on the deck where the cool gulf breeze mingles with the sounds of gently lapping waves. The vibe is simultaneously relaxed and refined, making it an ideal spot for everything from casual lunches to special celebrations.

Guests frequently praise the exceptional service, with staff known for their extensive menu knowledge and genuine hospitality. Whether it’s a friendly drink recommendation, attentive care, or enthusiastic support across tables, the team ushers in a welcoming environment that keeps diners returning.

From Zoe’s delight in the pecan-encrusted fresh catch paired with gouda grits to Rick’s love for the all-you-can-eat shrimp and fried mullet, or Kelly’s rave review of the chicken Rockefeller and decadent peanut butter pie, the consensus is clear: The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar delivers a truly memorable dining experience. While some guests suggest certain dishes may vary in flavor, the overall fresh ingredients, thoughtfully curated menus, and stunning natural backdrop ensure each visit is special.

Whether you’re craving the ocean’s bounty, succulent steaks, or just a place to soak in a magical sunset with friends or family, The Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar is an unforgettable culinary gem on Alabama’s Gulf Coast.

Amazing dinner at Tin Top! The fresh catch of the day was tripletail fish and I had the pecan encrusted fresh catch with collard greens and Gouda cheese grits. My girlfriends had the blackened fresh catch, and seared fresh catch with fried okra and Lima beans. Everything was so good. The view is so good and the seats out on the deck are a great vibe.

TinTop was superb. The food was excellent and the facility was in excellent condition. Our service was outstanding. Meagan S. was our server. She provided top quality service, excellent knowledge of the menu and made suggestions that we top notch. My wife got the crab cakes which she loved and finished it off with strawberry bread pudding. I had the all you can eat shrimp and fried mullet. Delicious. We will definitely be back next time in town.

Recommended that we try this restaurant and after numerous meals, this restaurant far exceeded the expectations. Our server Riley was absolutely wonderful, she gave us a drink suggestion which turned into 2. She always had a smile on her face and even jumped in to help out another table that wasn't hers. She stopped several times to make sure everything was good. Her service went above and beyond. She is 5 Star Service! The food was amazing and definitely worth every penny. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who ever visits the Gulf Shores area. Thank You for you such a wonderful place to dine.

The food was good. I was not as impressed as I thought. The fish tacos were just plain. I was hoping for more flavor. I do want to try other dishes to see if lack of flavor is all the time or just that day. Not crazy about the portions either. There is a store onsite to purchase many things. The waterfront makes it a beautiful place to watch the sunset. This place is very isolated. We did however have an amazing waiter. He went above and beyond and the manager stopped by to make sure everyone was having a wonderful time. They do charge differently for credit card and cash payments so bring cash if you visit.

Our whole table was happy with their food. I had the chicken Rockefeller. I loved it. For dessert we split peanut butter pie. It was probably the best I've had. Beautiful setting right on the water. We hope to be back.

We tried this place recently for lunch and it was good. There was a lot of seating on the outdoor patio and several tables inside. They have a wide variety of options. The smoked tuna dip was a great starter. The red fish and grilled shrimp po boy were excellent. There was so much shrimp on the po boy I couldn't eat it as a sandwich, which I thought was great. Service was excellent. The new location is awesome right on the water.

The new Tin Top location is quite large. Large inside Bar, inside seating, outside covered seating with large bar and music and open patio seating. The service was fabulous! The food was good and the atmosphere was a little noisy. Wasn’t too bad though. All at the table agreed that the lunch menu was better than brunch. Maybe because it was so busy. (We had a 30 minute wait for outside on Sandy’s morning)

We had a phenomenal experience at Tin Top. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great. Perfect for an intimate dinner or big event, Tin Top is an excellent place for dinner. We had Ashton as our server. She was so attentive, conversational, and anticipated our needs. Wonderful service. The crab claws are pricey but you get a ton and are probably the best in Baldwin county. I had the pecan crusted trigger fish in crawfish sauce. Do yourself a favor and get this. The kids menu has excellent choices. We drove down from Fairhope and would make that drive again. If you are in town for a vacation, it is worth the drive in from any of the beaches. So good.
